I found that some junk mail has greatly reduced in recent years. I don't know if it's because of the high cost of advertising for some companies.

E-mail has increased, but catalogs and mailbox mailers have been on the decline for me fortunately.

Catalog Choice has been great for me. If you have an iPhone, they have a free app where you take picture of the mail label and send it to them, and waa laa, the company gets contacted. Catalog Choice was just bought out, so I'm hopeful it doesn't lose any of it's greatness!
