Life is full of lessons. We experience life, make mistakes, learn from those, research ways to improve our methods, dig deep within to manage the emotions that accompany these experiences, and then we graduate.

We graduate to a moment of accomplishment. We breathe deeply and find a new experience that, again, will help us grow. We step forward with glee or a sigh and experience life...

Through it all we rely on faith and inspiration to grow. Sometimes our Religion governs this process. Sometimes there is no religion involved. Either way, assessing our religious concepts, why we believe what we believe and why we have decided not to believe something, is research that could help the journey become smoother.

Exploring Your Religion

I hope you are open to this idea and that the experience brings you inner peace and enlightenment.

Somehow, I lost my original thread on Religion. Hope I can find it; Lori's post was priceless. Additionally, Ian's post had links that I hadn't finished reading.

Come back thread, please come back.

We are all spiritual beings having a human experience. No matter what happens on the outside we are still unique, loving, and peaceful spirits on the inside. Inside each of us is a place of tranquility we can go to at will. Our physical life does have its lessons to be learned, but our own personal truths and answers always lie within.

Hi Yvonnie

Still no luck finding the original bits that went missing? smile

The two links I remember putting in are the one to my biography which covered explained how I selected Paganism as my spiritual path; A link to my article on working with other spiritual paths .

The body of my reply was my thoughts on why this thread was so quiet. My surprise at discovering how many people knew the history and philosophy of the religion or path they followed, and how Paganism - Witchcraft in particular - is still seen as the way of evil. Mainly by people who haven't looked at it closely. I think you might have seen one of those articles?

Still curious as to what happened to the original thread ? wink

All the best

Thanks Ian!

It is a pleasure to have your presence here. It was your response that prompted the crash (LOL).

I had just completed your amazing Bio when the crash occurred (I can now read your article).

I lost the thread attempting to change the Subject Heading (because you mentally or spiritually agreed with me that it was the topic and I was also certain it was the Subject heading). I thought Faith, Inspiration, and Religion might be a bit more attractive.

We'll soon see.

Thanks again!

"Faith, Inspiration, and Religion" still seem to be scaring people a bit smile

Strange when you think that something that is supposed to attune you to creativity and numinous experiences seems to be so frightening for many. Perhaps because so many systems are less about that and more about social control?

I'm not all that computer savvy myself. Every time I try to overwrite an article the system eats the content, I can't get into the chat thing, and I can only get into the editor area by following someone else's post. So you're doing well

Hope you enjoyed the article

Hi Yvonne

I have been religious/spirital/inspired by God, since I was a very small child. I have had to live with people who have no faith or a very different idea of what religion means to how I believe and so far no one has managed to change my mind.

I have trodden the path alone, I have never listened to what others say, anything I do for my faith is for me and I do not worry about what others think, say or do with regard to their belief system. I would never allow another human being to distract me from my faith and despite starting off in one religion and ending up in another, my belief has not change since I was four years old, just the way I practise my faith.

Makes me sound a bit selfish? Well that's not to say I am unwilling to share the knowledge I have been given, and I do not expect anyone to accept what I say, but I would never tell anyone 'you are wrong and I am right' because everyone has their own path to tread.

I have grown with God and I know of no other way to live. Everyday I learn something new about His creations and myself. I came to my faith because of God and I thank Him everyday for guiding me.

Keep on inspiring us Yvonne, thanks.

Linda, you sound very solid and sure in your beliefs and yet you don't influence someone else's belief system. That is wonderful and inspiring. You are right in that everyone has their own journey, and what each person believes is personal and unique to them.
