I recently reviewed a couple of Michael Thurmonds books. I was always fascinated with his work back when I used to watch him on Extreme Makeover. Thurmond is big on eating for your body type, training for your body type and working smarter not harder to get the body you want (I'm all about that too).
I was curious if his quiz would tell me the same thing I've learned from the Metabolic Typing Diet and from Jillian Michael's metabolic typing quiz and was not surprised with my results at all. The quiz in his books is much shorter but the difference is his quiz allows you to find out your primary body type as well as your secondary body type.
I'm a meso-endo which means I have a somewhat athletic build and the ability to build muscle in certain body parts but I also have trouble losing fat AND my body does well on carbs (no surprise, since I've been getting leaner on carbs for months now). His diet recommendations for my body type are whole grain starchy carbs at virtually every meal. Other body types get to only have them 1-2 times a day or not at all.
