I found a Buffalo nickle when i was camping in the desert this weekend. It's heavier than 'normal' nickles and has an "indian face" on the front and a buffalo on the back. It's a boy buffalo, in case anyone was wondering. Interesting that they bothered to include that detail.
It's hard to read the date but i think it's 1913.
Is it a good idea to clean these things? leave the patina on them? Are these worth more than 5 cents?
