I was wondering if anyone here tends to knit more in the fall, maybe making Christmas gifts, than in the spring and summer?

I noticed a huge increase in my knitting blog traffic last fall and over Christmas and now it's pretty much back down where it was.

I knit all year round and don't really make many gifts for people anymore since my wrists bother me now.

I definitely knit more in the fall, but do knit year round. In the late summer though I look through knitting books, like gardeners look through seed catalogs in the spring!

I work in education during the school year, so I tend to get more time knitting in the summer months.
I want to knit this fall! I have so many fun projects to work on!
I think knitting is a good indoor sitting activity when the weather is chilly. Fall is time to make accessories for the cold and gifts for Xmas.
For those who knit more in the fall, is this why?

Pretty much, fall knitting is to hopefully get some great gifts made.

I do tend to knit more in the fall and winter. The spring and summer months usually find me working in the garden, except when it is raining, which is my excuse to bring the knitting out! smile

I love getting out in my garden. I have entertained the idea of making outdoor projects - like knitting a hammock or my pea trellis. It would jsut be a way to keep me knitting through the summer months.
