Hey, anyone watch Grey's Anatomy? I'm super peeved. Owen's standing there in front a counselor yelling at Christina stuff like, "How can you not want kids? What's wrong with you, everyone wants kids. Meredith has kids, etc." And here I am, expecting the counselor to pipe up and say something like, "Uh, no actually, being childfree is an increasing popular choice people are making and it's not a psychological issue." Nope, didn't happen.

Thanks Grey's. Thanks for painting people who don't want kids as being damaged in some way. Arg.

It's still a stupid expectation of society, unfortunately. We can't be individuals and abstain from bearing children because everyone else is doing it!

It's funny that you would bring that up Dolyn because I was thinking the same thing when I was watching the show. I don't think it should have to be something wrong with her. I think she has some great reasons for why she feels the way that she does.
