Okay, I know I've been asking a lot of questions, but I have another......

I picked up just some regular old white gravel at the pet store, right? Well, it's been giving off a lot of dust or something, and it smells kind of like cat litter (I also have two cats back home). So I washed the gravel and I know it's a big no-no, but I added a drop of regular old hand soap, thinking maybe something would wash off, and I would just rinse it very well, since I only used a little. Well, I added more water, and it turned yellow. Like a murky looking cloudy yellow, almost like it looks after adding the fungus eliminator to water. So now I'm afraid to put the fish back in the tank, and I don't know if the gravel is okay or not. Like I said, it's just regular old pet store gravel, plain white, nothing special. Rather odd...

Elise

I wouldn't use it elise....bring it back to the store and get your money back. Better safe than sorry I'd say.
