My kitchen sink faucet leaks at the point where it attaches to the plastic housing of the sink. It's only when i turn the water on, so I have not been too worried. When I turn on the water, most of it flows out the tap but some also leaks out from under the knob.
Any clues to what might be causing this or how I can fix it?

Hi Jilly:
Were any "washers" included in setting up?
Not an expert, but I know these "rubber" items are important sometimes.
How about "caulking"...
Let us know how you are doing with this leak.
Hugs, A

Hi Jilly,
The first thing I would try would be replacing all of the rubber seals. Just turn off the water (in your whole house) and disassemble the faucet until you see them (pay attention, so you know how to put it back together :)) If you take them to any home improvement store they can help you find the right replacements.
Let us know if that works, or if you found another solution!

Hmmm, it's leaking worse now. I really don't have time to research this. I am really not good at this stuff.

Yikes - you replaced the seals and it's leaking worse? I'm thinking the seals weren't put on entirely perfectly, possibly in addition to the original problem (if it wasn't this.) I hate to say it, but it might be time to call in an experts. Plumbing is definitely not my strong point either!
Good luck!
