I've got a situation here where a woman has calcium oxalate stones and recurrent UTI. She had the stones removed a few weeks ago by lithotripsy.. Some elevated uric acid found

Her doc has her on 2000mg calcium carbonate a day. Fosamax once a week for 10 years.

Her UTI pain and urgency is intermittant and the doc gave her microdantin for it. She is not sure at all that she wants to take it.

Any ideas?

regarding kidney stones - pour half a pint of cranberry juice into a glass and add 2 to 3 teaspoons of pure lemon juice, and a teaspoon of starflower oil taken from capsules - mix well and drink an hour before retiring, repeat for next 2 evenings, the stone should pass and be dissolved.

The best is to go dairy free. This does help first of all alkalizing the body system and then not forming new stones again. It is fashionable today take calcium supplements but kidney stone patients should forget about it as that also grow kidney stones. The most effective healing is to go on planed based diet and regular exercise.

water is the best remedy for it. Don't cut on your calcium products but stop taking oxalates
