I remember a time when I would do a spread for myself. If it was a particular outcome I had hoped for, I would redo the spread hoping for a different outcome.

Those were my younger years. If a certain amount of momentum has built, sometimes an event or cycle is just something set in motion we need to work through. But usually we can change things for better or worse through free-will.

Changing Your Destiny

EXCELLENT Elleise !!!! Our own will can many times alter whatever we wish. I do not know about all circumstances but sometimes a negative premonition or reading can push us past our comfort level momentarily to affect a positive change in our attitude and outlook thusly protecting us from disaster.

I agree so much!

Premonitons aren't necessarily THE outcome, but can promt us to decide whether or not TO take action.

A lot of times things in motion can be changed. Those are the moments life is built upon

When I joined a poetry contest back in November, I wrote a poem "When Spirit Meets Destiny". The point was that throughout several life times and early in this life, I followed what was laid out to be my destiny. The poem ends with me making my own path in life.

Many people disagreed with me that destiny can be changed.

Destiny can usually...well always be changed.

Some and I put that in there just because not all momentums can be thwarted, but in general...

If we don't wait to the last minute, we can affect those.

The little things? We can affect those as simply as breathing but can really punch a hole in it by deciding what we beieve in - and dispensing that faith, acting.

Yes, Gemineye, I do believe destiny can be changed, or at least tweaked here and there. Over many life times, I followed destiny. I followed destiny up until about three years ago. Now I follow my heart and I am finding that in following my heart, I am finding my destiny.

I do not change what I believe in, those beliefs only grow stronger as time goes on. I always believed that destiny is what we were born to do -- and to a large part, I believe I do follow the path laid out before me. Yet, when the path I am on leads to a brick wall, I will go around that wall or find a better path which is a slight detour. The detour will still get me to my goal in the end, but with far less sorrow along the way.

Can some destiny permit you to ground things? I would think so. I think destiny is not all there is in life, for we have free will, but there are things, ways, to ground ourselves when we feel too far out that we might lose our way. Destiny is not a thing that leads us astray -- it is only a guide to help us along the way. That is what I believe.

Usually, in California, there are only three seasons: Spring, Summer, and Autumn.

that s right phillis,i just felt going a bit deeper,and yes i feel listening to my heart is my destiny.how you want to act out your destiny is i suppose what you call free will,because also we are in a living environement that is not set and free will permits us to still follow our heart.yes destiny is a guide,cause the day i fought my destiny i was miserable,everything kept bringing me back to it.

when you say you tweak it here and there do you mean you actually don t follow it at times and you kind of crossover?
the more i reawaken the more what i know what my heart is like and the more i know what i have to do.
whatever your heart is set on that s probably how you create your destiny eventhough sometimes you don t see everything in front of you clearly.

Gemineye, I do not really fight against Destiny, I just allow my Spirit to guide me and sometimes there is a difference between the two. I was raised to believe there are certain ways to do things in life, sometimes I, well often, I do it my own way. Destiny is a guide, yes, a basic guide for me. If I am lost, I have Destiny to guide me. I also have Spirit to guide me, and Spirit is in my heart. So at times I do cross over a bit and follow my heart when it differs from Destiny -- for it is my heart and Spirit that must grow, not Destiny. Destiny is already there, full grown. Spirit and heart needs to go through life to learn and sometimes cannot learn if it does not feel right.

Does that make any sense? I try to explain the way I feel about how I "tweak it here and there". Tweak is to make a minor change -- but does not take me back, only gives me something new to look at and ponder over.

it makes full sense phyllis,when i meant something that takes you back that s what i meant,it s like a support that if you do that minor change you do learn something otherwise everything would be dull.i feel the same thing.i always felt for what happenned to me that i went out of mt path,but at the same time i remember that life was dull and that i needed some change,it s he time when you want to leave the comfort of knowing.but you know what i felt that even this was my destiny cause there was no way i couldn t have gone out of my way,as you say to learn something new.i felt it was my destiny to go out too actually.
as you say destiny is already set but you wihin that destiny you can enrich it as you like that is probabbly how destiny changes,then destiny can grow again and a new one is born,so maybe there s like a sweet play between spirit and destiny where they give rise to each other.but deep within there salways that higher path that i feel.
do you feel that when you feel that your destiny is full grown that part where you actually tweak it is what makes you grow and makes it grow too,meaning it is a natural thing.once you tweak it it s over and you kind of know you go towards something new with new insights and new things to ponder about.isn t that a natural law that everything changes and dies conatantly to bring about new life?
i feel that if i hadn t tweaked it i wouldn t have grown and at the same time i always felt a new destiny emerging once i decide to go through the hardship,becaue when you actually get a new insight you also set out on a road of initiatiation where you learn something new.even the stupid things ifeelitis my destiny todo tomake it whole and so to fulfillthe cycle of learning of a specific area.
