That is the first book I read when I was trying to leave my abuser. I had to sneak it into the house from the library and i prayed he wouldn't find it. It is one of the things that gave my strength to get out and stay out!

Well ... today is his court date. I'm a bit nervous for it. If he pleads not guilty, they'll ask me to testify. Which ... if it comes to that, I will. But I dont want to. I'm not planning on being there today for the hearing, but I cant stop worrying that he's right here in town. Literally 3 blocks from my house, and 1 mile away from my work. I dont think he'd come find me and harm me ... more like try to coerce me back. I'm just a ball of stress today.

Be strong for yourself. Remember you may not know this but you could be protecting more then just yourself with this action. I bet and i hope you standing up for yourself prevents him from taking it this far again on yet another girl. A little to late i know but take pride in knowing you can face your Devil stare him right in the face and say you may be physically strong then me, but i will always be emotionally stronger then you. Fight back the right way. You no longer need to provoke this guy he is punishing himself on his own. You can do this. Be strong. I send support
