I like all roses, but admit to being partial to pink. I especially like intense pink, such as Voluptuous. Queen Elizabeth is another of my favorite pink roses.

Hi Michelle:

Is there a significance with the rose colors?

And by this I mean, I have heard yellow is a sign of friendship.

I love ALL colors and just so glad when I do get any(lol).

Rosie, your cat looks exactly like my cat, Grey! I like yellow roses, but in my intensely hot summer area, it is very difficult to find yellow roses that don't bleach out in the sun. Midas Touch did the best here.

Angela, yes, the Victorians took flower language and meaning very seriously, even having entire dictionaries devoted to the language of flowers. All flowers, not just roses.

I'm planning on an article on the language of roses, probably closer to Valentine's Day. Everyone knows red means love, pink is more of a friendship, yellow also for friendship, white for purity. There could also be negative meanings to flowers, and the way they were presented was also significant. It's pretty interesting.

Thanks for your reply!
