Earning a degree in up to half the time it normally takes to earn it certainly has a great appeal to those who may be able to begin earning a better salary with a degree. However, students need to consider carefully what will be best for them because there are some drawbacks for some people.

This is my new post on this topic:
Online Accelerated Degrees Not for Everyone

Have you enrolled in an accelerated degree? If so did you complete it and did you find it difficult? Would you recommend it to others?

Quick and easy are such terrible criteria, and yet they seem to be the most popular....

Northeastern tried to talk me into switching into an accelerated system and I absolutely refused. They are already trying to cram too many courses into too short a period of time. Here I am taking courses on "how to learn most efficiently" and the courses say explicitly that a student needs to go slowly and have time to absorb the material. At the exact same time the college is attempting to push students through as quickly as humanly possible, because that's how they get the most cash! It's very discouraging.

My goal here is to LEARN the material - not to have it jammed down my throat so I can pay them as quickly as possible.
