My latest article is a review of Jonathan Goldman's CD Tantra of Sound Harmonizer. He is an expert in sound healing, and combines Tibetan sacred sounds with the latest research in vibratory medicine and neuroscience. It's great for meditating too, although not music per se. I know I've had threads on this in the past, but thought I would start a new one - any favorite meditation music or sounds anyone would like to share?

Dear Lisa - That sounds like a great CD! Does it give any sense while you're listening as to *which* chakra you should be on? Or do you have to try to keep track of that yourself? I generally meditate to quiet. I do yoga either to quiet if I'm outside, or to a gentle music track if I'm inside and trying to drown out Bob's TV noises

Each track is labelled by chakra name, and a chime sound separates each track so you can shift to the next chakra. These days I usually meditate in silence also, although I do some chanting during part of it, depending on how I feel. But I find that this CD is just the ticket when I am feeling energetically out of balance...a tool for certain days. I am getting more interested in sound healing therapy, so this appeals to me.

Dear Lisa - I wonder if they could make a version where a soft voice said the name of the chakra before each one began - otherwise I can easily see myself losing track of where I am in the series I'd never be able to see the track name on my iTouch.

I generally prefer to meditate with silence, but when the mood strikes, I have a CD titled "OM" that is great to use.

That sounds interesting, is it simply that one word?
