oh Diana, I so did too enjoy our conversations over my situation, that I was totally distraut over.
I dont think it was a 'secret' that I came up with though Diana, though I have managed to settle all 5 of the ferrets together, it was only 1 of them causing the most trouble, I have wrote about it all on a different thread though, as I discovered when I removed Rosie, yes Rosie, it was my so friendly Rosie, when I took her out, the other 3 accepted the two hobs okay.
So Rosie spent sometime alone in a cage while the 4 of them played and bounced about together.
I had to even return Bonzo, one of the 2 hobs that I was trying to introduce as Bobi, the other baby hob, started coming into season and was getting very dominaint over Bonzo causeing much sores to the back of his neck, so my son took him back, he was able to just place him into his pack of 7 and they all just got on fine, talk about being annoyed, so unfair, haha.
After Rosie's confinment alone, I took her into the others, I was even able to bring Bonzo back oh I got the implant put into Bobi to take him out of season, it worked great, and it will last 3-4 years the vet said, they have stopped doing castration as they have found it also leads to adrenal disease later in life, so the implant is another means, it is more expensive but sure they're worth it.
So I sat with Rosie for nearly an hour and pulled her off every time she latched herself onto Bonzo and held her to my face and shouted 'NO' into her face, I just kept on repeating this action, each time she dived on Bonzo, and after 3/4's of an hour she gave up, now they all play and sleep together, its so great.
I still bring Ber indoors he loves coming in and I understand what you mean when you say they keep falling off backwards, Ber does this along our table, he loves running up and down the stairs, but I have to keep the bathroom door shut tight as I once found him putting his head down the toilet.
When I no longer have my old Pomeraniam dog Dougal I shall bring Ber into the house full time, he dives on top of poor old Dougal because he has such a fluffy coat, he wants it, it can be hard to keep them in seperate rooms, that's why I can only have Ber now and then.
They are funny little charactors, Ber is quite large, not so little, he's a big hob, though he is castrated, the vets did not know then about it causeing adrenal disease then, so I hope and pray he wont take that in his life time.
Thats you updated now Diana.
