Really good thing about living a blissfully child-free life: I won't become like my older sister who has proclaimed herself a "Stay at home mom" and does nothing but yell at her little 4 year old and infant.
Example: The other day I had checked my Facebook page, which is something I only ever do once or twice in a month. She had posted some thing about how children are so spoiled these days because this generation has computers, cell phones, microwaves and car seats. Well, excuse the world for becoming more technologically advanced while you were living under your rock sissy!
So, I replied back with this: Well everyone writing here has to have Facebook, which means they must have the Internet, which leads to my point that right now, you're all no more or less "spoiled" than I am. Though I won't argue with the fact that little kids these days are spoiled. Though it's not because things are more technologically advanced, it's because parents have become soft and give into their children's demands. Example: if mom and dad took me into a public place where I started throwing a fit and crying and screaming, I'd be taken home and punished. But parents today will continue their shopping, letting the child carry on and on, bothering and disrupting everyone else's shopping and even buy them a toy or candy to get them to be quiet. However, all that teaches the child is that if he/ she misbehaves or throws a fit, they get a toy or candy or something else. That's what I call spoiled, not having powerful research/networking tools like the Internet or smart phones. Besides, I used to have to stand out in the -10 degree PA weather for up to 45 minutes at a clip waiting for a bus that we didn't know would come. If anyone thinks, that's a lie, just ask Shannon (my other sister), because she was there too. Of and just FYI, when I heat things up, I DO use the stove XD besides, don't complain about amenities like a car seat or a computer if you use them yourself, it just proves how spoiled we ALL are.
