Yep. The wife has it and the baby factory is closed while the playpen is still open !!!
Your choice. Don't mean to be glib and trite about such a serious emotional issue..
But hey, us guys are designed to solve the problem when most women just want you to listen and not solve.
Like cream pie said, "Just sayin' " it is an option.

I am trying to weigh ALL options right now -- which it seems that barrier methods, tubal, or vasectomy is all that's left. I don't think my husband is ready for the permanent solution yet, and I don't know that I am either. Being 31 yrs old, I still have time to change my mind about having kids, but at the same time I know I'm reaching the end of my best years to do it.

I think that we'll have to stick with barrier methods now, as I don't how the IUD thing will work out. A woman on another CF forum suggested fertility monitoring as a alternative. I am thinking that I could trying doing this in combination with barrier methods based on where I am in my cycle, but it takes months to "get it right" with the monitoring part of it. I have enough confidence that I can responsibly use these methods, as I have went years with a perfect track record on bc usage. Maybe after a year or so of doing this, it might be that we get fed up with the barriers and decide on sterilization.
