Stress management starts with identifying the sources of stress in your life. This isnt as easy as it sounds. Your true sources of stress arent always obvious, and its all too easy to overlook your own stress-inducing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Sure, you may know that youre constantly worried about work deadlines. But maybe its your procrastination, rather than the actual job demands, that leads to deadline stress.

Carol, Yes Emma's on the right track, may I go a little deeper? Have you ever heard the expression, "You are now and you will become what you think about most of the time." Thoughts are like magnets which attract the very things your mind dwells on. Did you know you have a conscious mind which is the boss, and a subconscious mind which is the servant? Now thoughts are the most powerful force in the universe Use contrary concentration to swing over to corrective thoughts. Instead of fear-concentrate on faith, Fear and faith cannot live in the same house. Faith attracts--Fear repels. When you meet resistance, concentrate on persistence. It always wins. Your subconscious mind will deliver whatever orders it receives from the conscious mind. Putting you in complete control of your life. To eliminate stress change your conscious thoughts, you cannot think of two things at one time. That is God's blessing.

I agree completely that the thoughts we hold in our mind are what shape our views of the world and our actions. We need to be aware of what types of thoughts we are thinking, and help to gently guide them.

The practice of yoga involves stretching the body and forming different poses, while keeping breathing slow and controlled. The body becomes relaxed and energized at the same time.

Stress not only affects your mentally status but also imbalances your physical health. I try one of these things to relive my stress hope you find them useful:
1)Get Some Fresh Air.
2)Eat Healthy and On Time.
3)Sit back and Lisen to your Favourite Music.
4)Involve in a Fun Activity, Sporting or exercise.
5)Plan out your time and prioritize.
6)Talk to a friend about your problems, don't hold it in.
7)Visit a SPA, Get a massage.
8)Take a nap.
9)Take a warm bath.
10)Read a book or watch TV.
11)Get a good night's rest.
Life Comes Just Once Just Enjoy as Much as You Can!!!

How about breathing?

If you can control and calm down your breath - you can calm everything else.

Biofeedback was a helpful technique to me back in college when I had to learn to manage stress in new ways.
