Grapel is now sick. I swear, I am beginning to get discouraged. I noticed he was moping a bit, but thought it was because the weather had cooled off, but then today I noticed he was hanging out at the top of the tank, and was turning a grayish color. I put him into a hospital tank with extra salt and some betta fix, but I don't think he's going to make it.

I think I'm a bad fish mommy or something. First Pinky, now Grapel. Both tanks still have live critters in them, so I'm hesitating about taking them down, I'm afraid moving the teeny tiny frog and the otos would kill them. I don't know, I think I'll just leave the tanks as is for now, and hope Grapel stays with us.

Nann, I'm sorry to hear about grapel....I don't think your a bad mom Nann...you say the temps went down where you are. Do you have your tanks heated? Could the temp change be the culprit?

Grapel was dead when I got home last night. I am feeling seriously bummed. I only have my 2 girls left, and Joseph's fish, Glitter is still ok. Grapel was in an Aquascene with the light in the hood, Pinky wasn't.

I cleaned Grapel's tank really well, and moved Froggle in there with Glitter last night. Froggle's tank was covered in algae since his oto died. Glitter was on the bottom of the tank this morning, and Froggle actually was leaning against her. She wasn't very active, and so I gave up and put her back in her vase and left Froggle where he is. I think the undergravel filter with the bubbles was disturbing Glitter. She seemed more like herself when I put her back in her vase.

These fish really do hate change. I'm not moving Sweetie, other than to clean out her tank! Teeny frog and his oto seem to be ok, but his tank is in dire need of cleaning as well. Sigh. That was Pinky's tank.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost your finny friend. I know how you feel. I would never have believe a fish could have a personality, but each of mine is special to me. I've had some take ill, and couldn't save them. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
