Interesting article! I just read that verse yesterday... "I do believe, please help my unbelief."

I pray with that man frequently! Even though I'd give my life for Jesus, I still struggle with making my mind and actions match what my heart knows is true.

There is going to be tragedy whether you believe or not.

hi lee ann, i haven t found that disbelieving god has wreaked havoc in my life,but i have found that disbelieving myself did.i don t believe in gods as beings you abide to,but as beings that elevate you. i think gods want you to believe in yourself rather than you believe in them cause if you believe in yourself and live up to your divine will and nature you actually honor them. but i found everytime i seperated from the divine that is when i got into trouble.some people say that you are kind of tested,maybe those aremore times of growth where you constantly dance and makeyour divine will grow.

To me unbelief can cause a lot of tragedy in your life....insecurity, selfishness, unhappiness, emptiness, loneliness... With Jesus we are fullfilled. Jesus died for every one on this earth whether they believe or not. What an ultimate gift for him to die for us so we can be forgiven by God for our sins!! Good reading is Know Jesus, Know peace, No Jesus, No peace....so true!

You are right freeatlast. I think that unbelief can destroy entirely, not just the body but also the soul. When there is no belief system, there is no hope and no future as well. However in Christ we have faith, hope and eternal life!

Amen Preena. I hadn't faithfully gone to church in 20 yrs because of the shame of my situation.....however, I was a Christian and grew up in the church. After my Dad's passing I started going to a local church and God surrounded me with supportive people. I got baptized shortly after and had a new hope and was strong enough a year later to remove myself from an abusive situation. Praise God for his unfailing love and forgiveness in Christ!! Without him we are all lost souls. So in other words unbelievers have no hope until they accept Christ, Lord Jesus, as their savior, and ask for forgiveness. We were born as sinners and Jesus is our Savior, dying so that we may live eternally and be forgiven. How awesome is that?!!!!
