Is there a compulsory rule that one can't wear T-shirts at work on weekdays (Monday-Thursday)? One of my friends told me this.
Any help, ladies?

Hey Jodie,

Unless you work in a really laid back private, hip, and cool ad agency, I would say no. T-shirts are just too casual for work and they can make you look frumpy and careless.

There are tons of more formal, appropriate options that are also cute if you are looking for that, some really soft and feminine tops with ruffles, bows, and so on.

The golden rule if you're confused is to check how your boss dresses at the office and act accordingly. Unless he's a man, in which case, look for stylish women. wink And if she wears t-shirts, then see above. laugh

Hope this helps.

I will sometimes wear a nice looking, solid color t-shirt under a blazer/jacket.

Ok. Thanks for the tips Dina. Even I love to have frills and bows in my outfits. They are so feminine.

And yeah, the style quotient here is a bit lax..so no chance of getting hints smile
Though I'll try and spice up my wardrobe myself.

Wearing T-shirts on weekdays at work will give a person not respected feeling. So you should not do it.
