Hi Jilly! Sorry I was away for a bit and just saw this post. Thanks for spurring me to set some clear objectives for living greener:
Reduce, recycle, and reuse--right?
1. Reduce meat consumption. My goal is to limit red meat consumption to occasional use. Once a week or less. I will serve chicken and fish once a week. The remainder of our meals will be vegetarian. Good news is that everyone else in the family is on board with this goal!

2. Getting the family to stop being lazy in recycling. I hate when I find recyclables in the trash bin.
3. Getting the family to use less electricity by turning off their power strips instead of letting the computers slip into sleep mode overnight.
4. Use less, eat less. Sometimes, I cook too much and end up wasting. And while I typically don't use a lot of prepared foods, I will try to buy more from the bulk item bins to reduce the amount of packaging. And I'll move toward buying organic produce at the local farmer's market even though the items tend to be more expensive.
5. Growing an edible garden, starting this spring.
6. Start a vermi-composting bin.
7. More hand-washing dishes (got spoiled by the dishwasher!) and hanging laundry outside instead of using dryer.
8. Bring my reusable grocery bags when I shop. I always forget.
Those are a good start!
