Hello everyone. I am your new Appalachia editor. I am so looking forward to providing you with articles on the beautiful regions of Appalachia. Within this vast range lie the states of Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and portions of northern Georgia, western South Carolina, Pennsylvania and southeastern Ohio, including the Southern Tier of New York. I am still in training for the site, so it will be awhile before I get my signature set up, my avatar up, and be able to post links properly. When I am ready to build up this forum, I will set up a game for you. Let me know your favorite type game and we will take it from there. Walk in Peace and Harmony, Phyllis Doyle Burns Appalachia Site Editor

Phyllis, congratulations on being the Appalachia editor. It is a place dear to my heart from summer vacations and living a while in Virginia in sight of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Congratulations, Phyllis! I'm sure you will do a fantastic job as the Appalachia editor. I grew up in the Appalachians in northeastern Kentucky. I lived away from this beautiful place for several years after I was married, but always longed to come back. Texas, England, and California were beautiful, but they just weren't home. We did finally move back to Kentucky, just 22 miles from Natural Bridge State Park. It is a beautiful place to live.

Welcome. I look forward to reading your articles. I used to live near the Appalachia region in NC and PA prior to that.
