I agree that one of causes in sibling rivalry is jealousy. And if this is not resolved at a young age, can turn ugly in adulthood. I'm talking from experience. It's only a few years ago that I could talk to my younger sister again, after disagreeing on a lot of issues. Now that we enter our 40s, I thought there's no point in arguing too much even if we don't agree. It's a consolation that we are not staying under one roof!

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that the root cause of jealousy in sibling rivalry is Light. Yes, The Light of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The child who chooses a closer walk with Our Lord garners more Light by free will. This Light leads to better Jobs, Better Mates, More Money... etc. Competition, Striving for Excellence, and rampant consumerism puts an incredible amount of unnecessary pressure on everyone.
