I bought a cheap bottle of nail polish from the dollar store
That has discolored my nails a nasty brown color
Any one know how to get my nails to there natural color

Hi Rosie, Despite wearing a base coat, during the �trendy� Black Velvet Nail Polish fashion I had a problem with my nails going a sort of yellow.
Was told to squeeze a fresh lemon into a shallow bowl and soak my nails in it. Had to do it a few times but in the end the yellowish tint disappeared, the nails were back to normal and it did wonders for the cuticles.
Gave up wearing black nail polish though.

Hi,
I've had that problem with not so inexpensive nail polish too. It's usually anytime I wear a dark color - it's especially bad.

Thanks for the suggestion, Francine. Even I've had a problem when I apply dark coloured nail paint. The brand and the price really doesn't matter I think.

Wow I never heard of any nail polish doing that to nails! I have tried several cheap nail polishes from dollar stores and it never happened to me.
