I've been struggling with hair breakage for a very long time. I am an African American Woman in my 30s and have long been suffering from breaking and brittle hair. I've tried countless products in an attempt to get this under control, but still cannot get my hair to be long and healthy. Does anyone have any tips, treatments, or products that ACTUALLY WORK!? Thanks to any of you BellaOnline ladies that can help! Shana

Hair breakage is a huge problem for black women. All of the harsh chemical and thermal treatments out there only exhasberate the problem. Most products that are out there that are made for black hair do not work so it is very tough for women of color to know where to turn. They often try everything. I've personally found the Urielpure products to be the best. All of my friends and family who have also tried the products agree. Their strengthening conditioner naturally puts everything that is found in healthy black hair into your hair. It really is healthy hair in a bottle! You can find their products either at salons or on their website at www.urielpure.com . I hope this helps you as it has me. Best Wishes, Lara

Thank you so much Lara for the advice! I ordered a bottle of the Urielpure Strengthening Conditioner and it has helped me so much! I now see very little breakage even when I comb my hair when it is wet. This was exactly what I was looking for. I recommend it to anyone else that suffers from hair breakage. The reason why your hair breaks is because your hair is telling you that it is time to perm your hair. Some good products to use on your hair for dryness would be carrot oil, olive oil, pomade, and some olive oil sheen spray. You also want to deep condition your hair a week after you perm your hair. Put in a hair mayo or a good deep condition treatment and let it sit on your head for a half-hour to an hour with a plastic cap on your head. This should help.
