It's important to love yourself, but how do you love yourself?

I haven't consciously done that! But I think when I treat myself to shopping or great food, you could call it loving oneself.

When I get down about myself, I remind myself that no one is perfect, we're allowed to be human and make mistakes, and that I should love myself for trying so hard. I am learning and stumbling is allowed.

But my goodness, it is an ongoing effort. I have to repeat it like a mantra.

The first step to loving yourself is acceptance. Accept all the good things about yourself and even the little flaws you have, because everyone has their own little quirks and it is just fine. Celebrate the unique person that is you, and find the time to nourish your spirit in ways that bring you peace and joy. Loving yourself is a sure way to attract the love of others, and that is a beautiful thing too.

Loving Yourself is the single most important principle in the creation process. If you don't love yourself, you won't decide to give yourself the things you think you want, you won't think you deserve them, and you certainly won't have the energy to take action to create them. We are taught that if we love and care for ourselves that we are being selfish. This couldn't be further from the truth. The more you love yourself, the more love you have to give to others. By caring for yourself, you are then able to care for others.
