I showed you the world through my eyes, now you show it to me through yours. And so we learn. I really want to know how has this summer been for you? Did you make each experience an adventure? Tell me, was it good for you?

Hi Tuculia,

Summer ending? Say it isn't so! It's only August 5th, calendar-wise summer is only half-ways completed. If I were a kid nowadays I would be so depressed and upset. School used to start-up again after Labor Day. What happened? My family used to go on our annual vacation for a couple of weeks to Hull, a beach town in Massachusetts, in the middle of August.

Oh well... to celebrate the continuation of summer, albeit it is rainy season here, tomorrow we will be day tripping to lovely Patzcuaro, Michoacan and enjoy its colonial and indigenous ambiance along with hopefully all sorts of birds as the town is located on a huge lake.

I know what you mean, Les. It really doesn't seem that summer break should be ending...but it is. Sad, sad, sad.

Summer's ending way too soon. Would love to have more down time, camping time with my children and husband.

Going to try and ease into the school year calmly and slowly - let them adjust (and me too).

We had some great adventures, wonderful family moments, some trying times, and some anticipating school anxieties....
Observing other siblings this summer, I'm so proud of how close my children are!
(don't get me wrong though - I'm not boasting - they have their moments with each other)

I love it Lisa! And you should boast, because they all have their moments. I have four, 3 boys and 1 girl. It's get's interesting some times with 4 teenagers. But just like you I love and wouldn't trade it for the world.

If I didn't already tell you - I'm steps behind you.
Three boys and a girl - no one's made it to the teen years yet.
My oldest is ten. Youngest will be five soon.

I new we had something in common! At least you have entered the tween world. And that's another world all by itself. Have fun for the rest of the summer!
