I was looking for a particular name in the Lakota language and came across a site that got me laughing so hard. If you are interested, here is the link: Bad, Bad Names For Baby

Personally I think some of the names suggested are quite nice -- it is the comments about the names that I find so funny.

That is so funny you posted this. My son asked me this question yesterday so we looked it up and found some hilarious names. The worst one of all was Toolio. What kind of horrible name is that. That guy is a real Toolio, LOL!!!

I couldn't believe that couple on the news last year named their kid Adolf Hitler. And then I met someone that named their boy Nixon Richard. YIKES.

Mothers without much education sometimes just choose names for their babies without knowing what the names signify. When we lived in Nassau, Bahamas, many years ago, one such mother named her twins Ivory and Ovary.

A number of years ago a colleague of mine had a student named Chardonnay. Apparently, no, she didn't have a sibling named Merlot. (But didn't find this out by asking Chardonnay.)
