I took this movie as quite light entertainment, just thought of it as a bit of fun. Though I felt sorry for the male characters in it - they were well written, better than some of the female characters actually, I thought.

I wasn't fond of the girl on girl kiss they just threw into this movie, it was SO aimed at a male audience to get that demographic. It had a sort of build up, but mostly it was oughta left field LOL. I was shocked considering it came from an intelligent female writer and a great female director.

The movie could have certainly been done in a much better way.
P.S: Do you think Megan acted well?

Yeah, I think she was fine. Certainly on the same level as a lot of other actresses out there. The problem was she was sort of playing a caricature of her media personality. In the scenes where she actually acted, the scene where the band murdered her, for instance, she was really good.

I think the media isn't really giving her a chance because she's viewed as beautiful. They do it to a lot of actresses - it's like saying, "you can't be pretty and be able to act." Which is of course nonsence. The critics really slated her and I didn't think it was fair.

Hmmm...your rage is completely justified.. But again there are plenty of good looking and great actresses out there. For example Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts and so on. Megan is not the only one. She's hot, there's no doubt about that, but many don't particularly like her because they find her a replica of Angelina.

Angelina Jolie wishes LOL. I've never seen what the fuss is about over Jolie (beauty wise). Julia Roberts is ordinary - only attractive when she's tarted up like at the start of "Pretty Woman" or "Erin Brockovich" IMO - though she's a fantastic actress, as is Jolie.

I don't see why someone wouldn't like an actor because they looked like someone else (which I've never heard anyone else say TBH.)

Also, Megan Fox has to be given a chance to prove she can act. If she's not getting the roles - what's she gonna do? Jolie/Roberts/Diaz, they all started out like her, doing smaller roles - time will tell. I certainly don't think she was as bad as the critics made out. Acting wise, she does nothing wrong. This is a great example of where being very attractive can go against someone I think.

I completely agree in a way. Megan can act, she only needs the right roles. But saying that Hollywood does not comprise of beauties is an understatement.
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
Just because you find someone pretty doesn't mean the rest of the world also does. (I think Brittney Murphey looked like a doll!)
Hollywood is not only about looking beautiful and being able to act. Luck plays a strong part, because if that were the case, there would have been so many talented actors out there. There are so many talented people out there but don't seem to get the chance(you can't deny). The fact that Megan has come till here, means she's at least got a chance. I wish her luck for the future.

I agree - I think Luck is the most important factor behind who you know. Hollywoods mostly nepitisim I think.
