I LOVE listening to music first thing in the morning. I've got my hot cuppa, am doing a bit of creative writing, so the music really sets the tone.
This morning I'm listening to my new CD, Sarah McLachlan, Laws of Illusion.

I had a lovely fruit smoothie with my breakfast sandwich. Now, I am going to have my coffee.
The birds are singing to have their covers removed. After coffee, I'll do that.

I haven't turned on my music yet - but I opened the back door (we have our new screen in - finally - and it's not falling out LOL). There are a couple of blue jays squawking - they are SOOOO funny!!! I love mornings!

I love the sound of silence in the morning. I've been doing an Esther Hicks affirmation every morning
"Today no matter where I go, no matter what I am doing and no matter who I am doing it with, it's my dominant intent to look for what I am wanting to see"
I just sit there quietly and focus on it then I get to work online. I don't play any music until around 2 p.m. I find that I get so many ideas and concentrate better without external input.

When we were in South Dakota last week, the music of Split Rock Creek was both soothing and invigorating. It has been flooding there, and the creek was up and running swiftly. We could sit on our deck and hear the water churning and flowing. I wish for it here, but the best I can do is the stream to my backyard pond. It gets churned by robins taking their baths!
