I am buying my 7 year old a much coveted Nintendo hand held for her birthday.
Any advice on which one to get would be GREATLY appreciated. I do know going for the most expensive in the computer world seems obvious - but ... I have no idea what they do - what they need to do or what I should be looking for to buy.
Looking at the previous post - I thought I would clarify my request - I am sure we don't need a 3d one!! She is only 7 and it is her first gaming device which she will no doubt lose or drop .... but still I didn't realise there were so many options!
Really there aren't too many choices in the DS world There are lots of colors of course! But for the DS your main choice is the old heavy one or the newer light one. I would have her go into a game store and try the various demo units out to see which fits into her small hands. That'll be the key thing - which she can hold onto the best.
I'd not get the DSi which is the internet enabled one. I think she's too young for that.
