Thanks, ladies. I hadn't even gotten to start my own forum post yet. These articles really do annoy the heck out of me. So much of children's behavior is in the eye (and mood) of the beholder. When adults are in a playful and tolerant mood, rambunctious kids are cute. When our mood shifts, the same behavior is annoying. How are kids supposed to even process that.
There certainly is unacceptable behavior, and some parents are better than others at dealing with them, plus we all have times when we are just less on top of them than others.
But these articles tend to focus on the more rare instances of completely inconsiderate parents and children, without acknowledging that most parents are working hard at parenting and that kids, in the first place, do have a right to exist.
