What tips worked for you to help heal and minimize your incision after thyroid surgery? Do you display your scar as a badge of courage? How long did it take before you forgot it was there?

I don't have a thyroid scar, but I do suffer from a rash that I have had since 2000 and it leaves scars. I use Bio-Oil which helps the marks heal.
