Or for the winter months, as the case is here in the Southern Hemisphere! Kid-unencumbered ski trips, here I come!

I love that I can leave my dogs alone for several hours if need be so I can go get things done for myself or just head out for a ride somewhere. I would not be able to leave young children home alone when I need some time to myself. It is nice to have the freedom to breathe without the "kids" around for a while....even the animal kind!

My boyfriend's 9 yr old daughter stays with us every other weekend. She is sweet and well behaved. But when Sunday night rolls around and it is time to bring her home, I am more than ready. I get tired of the endless chatter, kid's tv programs, and my little "shadow" every time I need to get something done. Like I said, she is a very nice girl, but I love that she is not my own and she can go back home!

I turned 44 today, and I am still very happy I am child free. I made the decision not to have babies at age 26, and these many years later I still feel the same towards the issue. I love my peace and quiet smile

when my sister and I would ask our mother what she wanted for any occasion she would reply, "Peace and quiet." Sis and I didn't think that was much of a gift. Now, I see how precious that it is.

Happy Birthday!

For me it is: *Get up and go away. No need in worrying where to leave the kids. *Seeing a movie on my own or with my partner *Spending my money on myself. *Going nightclubing no responsiblities to be back home at a certain time. *Wearing whatever naughty costume I would like. *Oh yes having sex without interruptions. *Plus my boobs are not ruined by change. They are still perky and sexy as ever. In summer I was wearing a corset which made my cleavege big. A mother was mocking me behind my back by making the motion of how big my chest was. The people she was doing it to didn't say anything. I turned and said "These are all natural and have never had a kid sucking them." That shut her up. Thing was the mother and her family were at a pub. Uh what a way to spend family day isn't it at a bar getting drunk. I just thought of the Simpsons episode where Marge and Homer took a trip to a different distination then where they were tending to go. Making Bart and Lisa follow poor Homer and Marge as Homer and Marge went from place to place to get some alone time. Which made Bart and Lisa want to interrupt their alone time even more. Without understand why Homer and Marge wanted alone time into later in the episode.
