My husband and I visited the Sandals Grand Bahamian in 2004 - it was fantastic!

Didn't know there was a Sandals child free resort. Think I'll visit the Sandals site. Thanks for mentioning it.

I've stayed at two Sandals resorts and visited a third one. One of those is the Sandals Hicacos in Varadero Cuba which was absolutely fabulous. Though it might not be practical if you're in the US. The other was the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in Jamaica. We were there for the first two weeks of March 2008 and it was really cool that there were no kids running around even though it was March Break. The food was fantastic and our room was great but we found the resort too big for our liking. Plus, the beach area was small for the size of the resort. One evening we took the free shuttle bus to the nearby Sandals Dunn's river which we liked a lot more. It's a smaller resort and the guests and staff were more friendly. A couple we met at the Grande Ocho Rios told us they often stay at the Sandals in Negril, Jamaica. Apparently, it's wonderful as well but we haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I hope this helps! WilkWise, all the Sandals resorts are for couples only, which automatically makes them child free. They have a sister chain, Beaches, which is for the families with kids.

For an exciting all adult adventure check out Hedonism Resorts I've sent many couples there during my 18 years in the travel industry and they have all loved it - even the conservative couples.

I look forward to reading your comments.

That is the one that is in my island(Jamaica, West Indies). The city is called Ocho Rios(there is no Grand involved), 8 rivers in Spanish. All of the Sandals are "childfree" they are for couples only. Dunn's River Falls is not connected with Sandals, this is a national water fall. Very cold, but tourist and locals love to climb to the top. Did it once as a child. Glad to see you got a chance to visit this location.

I visited Breezes Runaway Bay in Jamaica in May 2009 and it was great. The resort was just the right size (could walk everywhere), the food was very yummy and the best part was that it was quiet and there were no children. I don't mind sharing space with kids, but I felt I could be a bit more "wild" and didn't have to watch what I said, or how much a I drank. My Husband and I are actually looking to go to away at the end of the month and it looks like its going to be at another Adult Only resort. I want to try one of the Hedonism Resorts though. I heard they are fabulous and alot of fun!
