i was about to test that when you have
overdrive -> AP
and then recieve a lot of damage.. i couldnt fight don tonberry, so i fought Kottos instead...
it said on the walkthrough that 1 damage = 1 ap,
but that cant be right, because i was hit about 100 times, and every time he hit me, i took about 10,000 damage, and that would have given me 10,000 x 100 = 1,000,000 experience...
but i only got 100,000..
and for the mimics in omega dungeon... i only get 100,000 gil, not 500,000..?
and it says on the walkthrough that you should get a good amount of experiance.. but i only get 10,000...
am i doing something wrong..? help me please..

Ok, Overdrive => AP works like this:

The method you're using (1 damage = 1AP) will only work if the person who's hit, has their Overdrive on "Stoic", otherwise, the Overdrive guage wouldn't charge anyway, so, no overdrive = no AP.

The Mimics in the Omega Dungeon DO give you 100,000 normally, but will give 500,000 ONLY if a member of your active team has "Gillionaire" on their weapon (eg. Rikku's powered up Celestial Weapon, Godhand).

I only have us version, and i think hes right, they only give 50,000 regular with no gillionaire, and if you have gillionaire, it gives you and extra 50,000 for each person that has it equipped (so long as they hit the mimic before it dies)

my mimics give 50.000 aswell, and i tried equipiing gillionare with 3 characters, and used them all to fight it down, i onl got 100 000 gil enyway... i find the best way to make money just maxxing stats at arena... just killing bosses to get loads of spheres that i need then sell the weapons, both earning weapons, levling up, and earning big cash <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

well... yea... so in the us version its only 50.000 then...
but i had stoic when i attacked kottos....
it was like if that 1 damage point = 0.1 ap instead of 1 damage point = 1 ap.....
is that also different when you use us version?
