I went to Walgreens today. I spent $7.62 and I got back $8 in Register Rewards. That means my trip was FREE! This is what I got:

1 Listerine Mouthwash (large bottle)
3 Dove Body washes
2 Glade Air-fresheners
1 Small Antibacterial Gel
1 Lollipop for my daughter

I used:
1 $1 off Listerine Coupon
3 $1 off Dove Body washes
1 $2/2 Glade Relax Air-fresheners
Existing Register Rewards (from last week's purchases): $8, $8 and $3

Total out of pocket costs: $7.62 and I got back $8 in Register Rewards

yesterday I did pretty good! I got for free:

2 Gillette deos
2 Off Clip On bug fans
5 one pack Crystal Lights
Goodys headache Powders
Preparation H towelettes
Nexcare waterproof bandaids
Cortaid
Applied Nutrition Calcium
2 Vitamin C bottles, NatureMade
Naturemade Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc
Cottenelle Flushable Moist Wipes
MMs
Sample of chewable Caltrate
First Aid Cloth Tape
Crest toothpaste (with coupons inside the box)

I also earned 10 in extra bucks and got a free first aid kit bag full of first aid supply coupons. I bought some 2 for 1 containers of oatmeal and 2 boxes of antioxidant supplements from clearance at Wags.

I am thinking about using the 10 in ecbs to work on this week's free gas deal at Walgreens. I can buy a bag of Doritos and a bottle of vitamin E (with coupons and also get one free) to get to the $30. if I use the $10 in ecbs and get the gas card and use coupons, I will have spent something like 8 dollars total.

It's a good scenario but I am not sure I want to spend money on vitamins when I can normally work out vitamins for free.

Ok, I decided to hold off on the vitamins. It's a good deal but i think if i am patient I can get vitamin Es for free.

Also not sure if the gas coupon works out to make things worthwile, if i have to buy things I would not normally have bought. The gas coupon is for gas stations that are a little out of my way/not as cheap as my nearby ones.

I think i will end up with the gas coupons only if the products are for things I actually would be buying anyway.

I agree with you about the gas thing. I think I may end up with $25 before the promo is over but I"m okay if it doesn't happen.

There are a few great freebies coming next week at Walgreens, including Fish Oil. I'm going to post them later tonight.

I think the gas idea was a nice one on their part, but they are allowing such random things each week.

yes I am looking forward to next week's wags too! Also the sunday paper seems to have a great coupon selection. I love the P&G inserts. I will try to get two papers this sunday. smile

Ok, yesterday I got free yogurt, more Applied Nutrition Calcium (actually was a $6 money maker), more free Nexcare bandages, Motrin PM and some benadryl anti itch gel.

I had finally got that free first aid kit with coupons and MAN there are some great coupons in there. smile

I want to try to get the Calcium a third time, plus get some Off bug Spray for free, some more headache powder and that free Illy drink.

I had to get a raincheck for the free IcyHot - they were out of that quickly this week at Wags.

A very good wags week. And the cashiers are getting used to me... smile

@Jill...When they gave you the IcyHot raincheck did it include the Register Rewards? My Walgreens said they won't give them out that way but I've heard of certain Walgreens giving you a raincheck for the price minus the RR.

Maria, they did put the RR on the Walgreens raincheck, but the manager said they don't usually do that. Another reason CVS rules!

yesterday was pretty good for me. The freebies:

CVS - 2 on the go Crystal Light packets (used Qs)
free exedrin, 8 count

OH and i also finally got the ten dollar gas card! I needed cereal and coffee, so ta da! not that $10 in gas is much these days, but it's still free gas and i needed the other things anyway.

Wags -
three cans of clearance soup (filler)
one Cootie Killer hand sanitizer (filler)
Travel kit with toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, travel head for brush and clear zipping travel bag (filler)
Icy Hot (used raincheck)
Women's Soy supplements
Omega Smart Fish Oil (used 2/1 coupon)

All free and I got $10 in RR for the next trip. I am going to do the Soy and Fish Oil (with/Q) again, and make a deal with Off bug repellant (sale and coupons) as filler.

I am getting better at this! smile

I got three trial sizes of Degree for Women deodorant today at CVS. They were on clearance for .65 and i had three 75 cents off coupons.

The last coupon adjusted to the negative amount, so there was no overage. I even had a filler ready to absorb the difference, but it marked the last one down to 45 cents off instead. Which is fine. Free is free. smile

I also went to Wags for some last minute freebies with qs but they were out of what i needed. So i got a few rainchecks instead. I like it when wags does rainchecks - they just mark the items down to what they would cost after RRs, since RRs don't print after the week is over.

So not a big day, but a nice distraction from the remodeling going on here. I also asked for and received next week's circulars so i can start planning.

Now I just hope the town is not out of papers tomorrow! maybe I should call my circle K and see if they will put one aside for me.

There are so great freebies out this week if you got the Sunday paper.

Today I got the free Blistex at Walgreens. I got 2 Oral B Cross Action Toothbrushes, used B1G1 Free Coupon, paid 1.41 for both and got $2 in UP Rewards back so I not only got them for free but Rite Aid paid me to take them out of the store. I also got the John Freida Hair Root Foam stuff. It's on sale for $5 at CVS and you get $3 Register Rewards why you buy 2 and I used 2 $5 off coupons. So I made $3 off of the transaction.

I found out what about the balm makes it men's: no scent and no gloss. At least that is what they said in my wags.

I did really well yesterday between CVS and Wags. For CVS I had to divide transactions 9 times, which was a little tiresome, but that was the only way I could make it all work out without paying more than a few cents each time.

my pla for this week at CVS is the protein bites first, then the probiotic Gum. And then I guess the candy, maybe. I also can snag a free irish spring deo between the sale and a coupon.

I'm going to try to get the free gas card this week at CVS. There wasn't hardly anything at Wags this week, I think I just ended up with toothpaste and some sodas. I did pretty good at Rite Aid..got the Zantec, toothpaste, gum, cortaid and some asprin.

Congrats on getting the gas card! I got one twice, pretty much through the power of cereal. laugh

I might have tried this week if my store was not out of mayo and wesson oil. Those are always worth stocking up on and they won't go bad.

let's see what they have next week.

-----------

Today i got some mail sample freebies. Four packs of tide stain lifter type things and coupons for more. Nice.

I also got this month's ACE holiday specials. A bunch of things are free and near free the first few days of july.

I'm so jealous of your ACE purchases! I got the gas card this week but they only had Shell so I kind of had to go out of my way to use it. I'm hoping that next week's stuff makes it a little easier. I also learned that some CVS have variations of products. For example, I was prepared to use my coupon for Homestyle Mac and Cheese but my CVS carried Easy Mac, not Homestyle. I didn't have a coupon for Easy Mac so I passed on the mac and cheese altogether and got more pop tarts. The same thing happened with the bottled water.

I'll have to be more careful with that in the future.

Today, i got a free sample in the mail of a garnier shampoo.

I did some good BOGO shopping yesterday at CVS for Dan. I am trying to help him get the best possible deals for things he uses, and since it's fun for me, it all works out. So lots of two for one deals.

You guys are doing amazingly well with the coupons! Well done!

On the sanitary pads, I highly recommend going with cloth ones. Then it's eternally free and there's no waste into the trash stream either! I've been doing that for a while now and really like it. I can never run out.

Lisa, that is true about the cloth pads and i really want to make or buy those eventually. They are a bit spendy upfront and i imagine one needs a few to rotate across the week?

I like doing the deals to get pantiliners free, though. And I place the individually-wrapped kind in my first aid kits as trauma bandages.

A new week and lots of freebies. I did pretty good at wags and cvs today. I need to print out some online coupons and get a few more things (ie - bengay). And also pick up a few more wags items.

Got some great back to school stuff too! Highlighters for nine cents! (i got 11!)

I should see what is one cent at staples this week.

I did pretty good yesterday, even though it is a slow 'free week' in comparison. I got four free black expo markers, two first aid items, a free trial size degree deo, a MM on two colgate toothpastes, and a bag of chips. smile

I also grabbed a whole bunch of inserts free from the paper recycling bins.

A good day.

Cool, i did amazingly well today and got tons of freebies and RRs at Walgreens. Two bags full of goodies!

Wags has been simply amazing this summer. CVS is lagging by comparison. smile

I think I will go in tomorrow and see what i can work out for the Ban deo and the scotch packing tape. And I will go in once more for the free bandaids i think. The current first aid tear pads and old peelies are really helping with those.

Oh, and I met another extreme coupon lady today at wags. she was very friendly and likeable, but lives in Sedona.

I need to meet some people in my own town who do this... smile

Wags - $2 money maker on krill fish oil supplements, free Pert, and a few free raincheck items.

I'll be doing the krill and pert again today. smile

I ended up doing the Krill four times and made a total of $8 after it all worked out. That is one of the best money makers yet. smile Plus I have a lot of fish oil now.

CVS and Wags don't seem to have any freebies this week. At least no straight-up 'free' items like usual.

Looks like some decent free items coming up tomorrow in the circulars. smile

Yesterday i got a free large bottle of Pantene from CVS (from a coupon i got in the mail). I am feeling lazy this week about doing any coupon matchups. My coupons seem to be everywhere and it's a bit more chaotic than I am comfortable with.

I got 2 pair of Fiskar scissors for free today. It was from a raincheck I had been holding on to from Publix. They were $1.99 and buy 1 get 1 free making them $1.00. I had 2 $1.00 coupons. I love when that happens!

This is a decent week for freebies. Today I got for free -

CVS - Baby Aspirin
Wags - Bandaids, toilet paper, estroven, carmex vanilla spf lipbalm, bottled water

Tomorrow I will do the bandaids, toilet papers, carmex and estroven again, rolling the register rewards.

I am bummed I missed out on the estroven coupon - would have been nice to have this be a money maker. :-)

Maybe i have a carmex coupon somewhere.

I did the rollover again today ( bandaids, toilet papers, carmex and estroven) and it came to exactly zero before tax. :-)

I have another large RR I can use to roll the estroven one more time, provided there are any left tomorrow. If not i can always get a raincheck.

I am still holding on to my raincheck from the Pert and the men's blistex. Am doubting the men's blistex will ever acually show up in my small store. smile

Today I did the Wags free carmex again, along with free bandaids. I also found some great deals on some walgreens brand OTC meds items that were on clearance...and all the W brand items are buy one get one 50% off. So i saved $44 today according to the receipt. smile

Oh, and I got two boxes of colored pencils for one penny each at Office Max. I would have gotten the pencil sharpeners and glue but they were out at my location. I'm pretty happy about the colored pencils tho.

I will get four free notaries signatures today at AAA, plus a Triptik set for our drive to florida.

I am also going to look for a DVD copy of the Hunger games to borrow from the library, as I want to see it with my parents before we leave CA.

I'm also getting to drive very nice filtered water here at the parental house, which is something I will have to pay for in AZ.

Loong,

That's exactly right. The company - the absence of loneliness, is about as rich a freedom you can have.

Ironically, some of the more wealthy individuals out there are some of the most lonely. Something happens and while it's inviting to have unlimited resources, the people surrounding, almost always WANT something from you.

When it's genuine, there's simply nothing, not even money, that can buy it smile
