My mother is 88. My sister's and I got together for Mom's birthday in March and gave her a "Day of Beauty". We all three spent the whole day with her and each did something special for her (nails, etc.) Then we cooked dinner for her and set lovely flowers on the table. After dinner, we each made a posie from the flowers to keep as a memory. Brother joined us for dinner and brought dessert.
I think we will do the same for Mother's Day or take her out to one of her favorite parks for a picnic. She loves Nature and watching the deer.
