Jason, is it true that chocolate covered scorpions were served at the Royal Wedding Reception? How would they have been cooked? I cannot imagine eating those, but I am curious about the preparation of them.

Phyllis, I'm not sure if that's true, but it sure does take the word 'delicacy' to a whole new level!

But seriously, When you think of the dishes that were paired with chocolate or namely mole sauces, it's not all that far fetched that one could conceive of eating scorpions au chocolate.

I've had turkey in a mole sauce before and I was literally blown away by the flavor profile; so depending on how scorpions taste to begin with, it's quite conceivable that folks would add chocolate and 'Bon Apetit'!
