I posted this in response to a post in the paranormal forum, but thought I'd post it here as well. Hopefully Starduster, you are able to locate it smile

In regards to where to start and you give really perfect detail as to what an experience of premontion in dreams as well as what Clairsentience (feeling other people's emotions, dangers, positive and negative energies, etc.) can be like...

Gosh I wish I would have seen this earlier. I hope you do check back. If we're not on-line when a post is posted we miss the headline in the side bar to the right and your post went right through my Soul! I'll send some "ping" energies out and maybe they'll bounce off in hopes you can read this

You just described the, what we call the "gift/curse" of abilities. You're so right it's very intense and scary at times but wonderful as well.

I try to down play the extremes to a more practical perception though, like a pizza. MAN does Elleise LOVE pizza. Too much and it's just not pretty. I make my own, so I have to watch it, at every interval, from dough, to proofing, the chewy, crisp, refining the crust, etc. If I just throw it out there and let it do its own thing, I set the house on fire.

You asked where to start. From what you've written you are a natual. Very open, wide open, I'm going to assume. So think of yourself as a 24/7 burger joint, like steak and Shake.

You want to manage your doors if you have questionable things entering. Fear, or side doors, I like to lock those. You want an in door and an out door. You're the manager. You can kick out anything you don't want in your facility, but you need to stand in front of your counter and mean it when you want something out. So, I would start with some excercises. I can write some articles addressing these things.

Next, try to isolate where your heart is happiest, plants, animals, servicing people, advice, aiding cultures like Native American Indians, movements, missionary work, etc. or kids, gifted children.

Also, network, like what you're doing here. A lot of the information is free. So, it isn't being given to lure you into anything. It's pretty black and white and up to you if you want to take it further. But there is definately strength in numbers.

Welcome to the community!!

Thank you. This is starting to crack the walls of misunderstanding that I have had for so many years. I really look forward to being a part of this community!

Hi Stardrifting,

I appologize I got your ID wrong. I'm glad you found this forum smile

Walls, fears, anxiety, and I don't know if you have trouble sleeping, but that's a huge one of mine too, they've all been a part of working out the kinks myself.

Some of my first encounters were when I was half awake, half asleep, and from there, it was almost like they knew how to find me, precognitive dreams, headlines, actual conversations with people that had just passed, but that I hadn't known had passed until maybe a week later or a few days at least.

Naturals or open clairvoyants...well summer is coming. If you have one of those bug lights. Some night watch it from a sliding glass door or porch. There's an attraction. The way moths and other insects are just drawn to that blue light, basically is how spirits and just plain odd energy is drawn to you. You'll have the most uncanny experiences and lol, what I find is if I'm not shaking my head at them, even to this day, other people watching it all do.

Part of it, I know is in the brain, but there's this other thing, like your Soul is just so open it's almost like a filter that both worlds, spirit and physical, they both seem to pass through.

Dead on Ellise! Learning to manage it all is the most difficult thing. It is so great to read your analogy of how you can manage it. I took a long time for me to figure out I was in charge and I had a choice in what came and went through me. Dreams, souls recently departed, and thoughts and emotions of others around me was chaos for many years. I thought it was all mine. I'm sure looking forward to that book your writing!

Thanks,

I need to keep a Paula in my front pocket to keep me focussed. I have 3 sides to this book in 3 different folders. So, one is lite and humorous, one is articulate and the other is just plain ol' real, the bumps and grinds of it all. I had to do that for the mood or perspective I was taking at the time. Now, I need to merge them all.

My husband is like, just throw a bunch of articles together. And, ya I could, but I'm looking to do something other than repeat myself. I want it to actually aid someone going through this.

Managing is huge when it comes to sensitivities. It takes no less energy than working out for a couple of hours a day in the beginning.

Once you have that iron clad door of "NO" this isn't happening. I'm on sabaticle or envisioning that sign that says I'd love to help bu it's friday...spirits, meet my sangria...sangria...spirits, lol.

But I think because there is so much hype about the 6th sense, it's almost natural at first to feel like it's scary or bigger than you. I guess in a way it is bigger, it's a part of the fiber that connects us to everything and everyone. But, it doesn't mean we haven't any control for the time being we are here.

Some people just have a larger concentration of it. Those people are the ones that from life time to life time, no matter what they went through, what they retained, THE most important thing, was their sense and memory of home wink
