I'm so excited because I realized yesterday that I had enough content on my site to turn on the blog feature. The only glitch I had when turning it on is I forgot to click a setting on each page that includes each page in the blog.

I actually love that feature because you can choose which pages to include or exclude from your blog. Not all pages need to be blogged about (i.e. disclaimer, privacy policy, private giveaways, etc.).

Another feature I love is I can choose whether the blog updates when a visitor posts comments or if a visitor creates a page for me.

I need to start adding some nice graphics to next especially to the blog page.

Also if you notice the big space on the right that is reserved for banner ads and affiliate links but I can't add those until I have 50 content pages, 20 visitors per day and 4 inbound links 2 of those from directories.

Totally, absolutely AWESOME Ms. M. I can tell a LOT of love went into it.

The hardest part of the whole process is the research leading up to finding your site concept/niche. Looking at keyword demand on a daily basis can really start to wear you down but it's worth it to identify something that has potential. The writing and actual creating and uploading of pages comes easy for me. Thanks for your comments and for checking it out.

I love your niche by the way. Busy every day mom is very specific but so many topics you can cover including diet, workouts, stress relief, vacations (your post on Disney was funny), work life balance, love life, pampering, etc. etc. Work it!!!

Thanks for the nice comment. I actually had to give up my weightloss site a few months ago so I could run this new site (plus free workouts guide and bellaonline exercise and still training three clients). The other reason I can't do that is I really don't know enough about wordpress and tools that other bloggers use. I keep hearing that blogging as most people know it is dead, that wordpress is dead and other stuff like that. I think the next big thing is about to explode but I don't know what that is yet!!! Are you psychic?

I have NO idea LOL!!! I don't get wordpress, but it works for me, and I have someone who helps me if I get stuck - so it's not so bad now. I have a regular site though, I'm not blogging from the wordpress blog page.

Sometimes I'm surprised people still blog from blogger LOL. I never see it come up in searches when I'm searching on content.

So, I guess I'll wait along with you to see what the next big thing is LOL!

I set up a health and wellness blogon blogger several years ago to go with my website. I add a post or so a week and actually make about $15/mo from it. That's not a lot but combined with my other google and amazon income, it helps to build the pot.

Money I get from there is free too since blogger doesn't charge.

I have 2 other blogs as self-hosted wordpress blogs and they make a little more each month, but I have to pay to host them, plus pay for domain names, etc.

I have a google page ranker in my tool bar and many blogger blogs actually rate 5/10 on google ranking, which is pretty high.

I am impressed by all of your blogs. I have seen them all and admire the fact that you manage to keep them up to date.

I have no idea what wordpress is? I use the blogger blog site for my three blogs and obviously whatever BellaOnline use to publish our site articles with.

I do not make money from anything I put on line. I would have no idea how to start.

Blogging lives, the rumors are not true then Monica if all of us are doing it! I also like the vlogs that people make, you get to know lots of people by watching their vlogs. I am too shy to try that, yet!

How much do you pay to host them and how much do you pay for domain names? Do you pay for any other tools (newsletter service, etc.) I'm curious to know what somebody who's buying a la carte pays in general.

Blogger is definitely cool for hobby bloggers who want to make some extra fun money. Some of us have a family to support though so blogger is not the best tool for that. If I was making $15 here and there I would not be doing this full time for sure.

I know lots of moms who blog for extra cash but their hubbies make the big bucks. That is definitely not my situation. If I wasn't earning a full time income from this I would have to get a real job or go back to training full time. No thank you on both
