Do you spend your spare change, or what do you do with it?

I spend mine, making exact change whenever I can. My husband is one of those guys who always empties his pockets at night, and ends up with a big jar. We usually end up taking this coinage to the Coinstar machine and cashing out with $100-$200 bucks. Our Coinstar machine takes 10%, though, so I know how much we wasted. There are some that will dispense gift cards to Amazon, iTunes, etc.,and those don't take the 10%. Their website will tell you where you can find them, but there's none near us.

I save all of my spare change until I have at least $100.00, then I deposit it in the bank.

We have a couple of those huge water bottles from the water bottle machines they use in offices. We keep change in there. When we go on vacation, the kids cash the money in for dollars. That's their spending money. Whatever they saved in the jar, I double. The year they saved $200 was something... They saved it together and then split it when vacation time came. They had $400 in what we like to call "come and buy me" money to spend in Disney World.

Now that my daughter is in college, the coin saving is just my youngest. We're going to Disney World for a little over a week in August, trust me - he is saving every penny he can find.
