Depends on who you ask.
Thyroid doc that is controled by the drug companies, $yncrap is best.

A thyroid patient the has tried both, in both case had the "proper" dosage, 99.9% will say Armour or other desiccated thyroid medication.

Like the tag line on STTM says, did not work, does not work, never will work. This is about $yncrap.

My wife started on synthetic, changed to Armour, will never go back. The change was in less than 2 weeks, and it was dramatic.

To be honest it all depends on the body's ability to convert T4 to T3 and those additional hormones like T2 and T1. Some people do good on Synthyroid, perhaps they would do better on Armour? I take thyroxine only and dont have any issues with it but then my T3 always comes good as well.

I was on T4 for 5 years . I felt better for the first month then went back to feeling exhausted, depressed, low libido, had weight gain that didnt stop piling on or reduce despite the fact that I was exercising for at least an 6 days a week. My doctor then added some synthetic T3 and that made me feel better for about a year before I experienced alot of hairloss and found out that can happen as a result of synthetic thyroid meds. I'm now taking bovine thyroid glandular and cannot believe the difference in how I feel and look. I wouldnt ever go back to 'Syncrap' :-). I have so much more energy now, I'm feeling motivated and hopeful - something I havent felt in a long time. My hair is thickening - this in just 4 weeks, and Im losing the water retention.
