ExerciseEd, your list of money making blogs kind of proves my point that blogs alone don't make money. Bloggers have to move on to promoting books, ebooks, videos or whatever to make money, which requires giving away newsletters, sending out auto-responders, etc.

There is a lot more work involved in this than just writing a blog post every day!

I just got the audio book of Pioneer Woman after reading about her in some magazine. Haven't started it yet but looking forward to it.

Great point. I don't think any of those people were blogging for money. They were doing it to express themselves or to pass the time or to workout their issues.

I actually came across Ree's blog way before I ever started researching any of this. I was looking for recipe for something and found her story and blog posts very entertaining. Her recipes are great.
