When I bought my car it came ready supplied with an old gel air freshener. The label has fallen off it is so old, but it still smells lovely. I doubt I will ever find it again so I hope it lasts a while longer.

I come from the Watertown, NY area (the Christmas Tree air freshners are made there).
There have been times where I have put some fresheners in my small car that have almost driven me out of it because they were so strong.
Now, I just stick to waxed bricks that scent up the car....I live in Florida so the heat helps. When it is too much, I take them out for a day or two.
Keeping your car clean and neat helps, also.....and no one is allowed to smoke unless the windows are down.

LOL, I love the "new car" smell = helps me BELIEVE I am driving my nice new BMW instead of the 1999 Ford Taurus with the leaking radiator . Great topic Steve

LOL Ian, been awhile since I have been online when you have. Made me LAUGH as usual. Yes, we have 2 that did just that, but I think it was from "car sickness" - our junk does test your stomach contents What type of dog do you have?We have a Jack Russell Terrier and Pit Bull (well really my boyfriend's son's who is relocating to another Air Force Base).

Ours is a miniature poodle who also suffers from motion sickness - overpowering car scents don't help. Currently looking into homoeopathic remedies for her
