Great article. I followed some of these tips a few weeks after we moved in and it made such a big difference. We spend a lot of time in there just talking, playing games with the kids, and I workout there too.
Any ideas on how to cover a round window that's right next to the front door?
Glad you found the article useful, and happy to hear you use your living room! A round window can be a challenge. If you work with an interior designer or a store that does window treatments, they can probably custom make something for you. Another option is to spray-on a paint "frosting" that will give you coverage but still let in light. I have used this for garage door windows. You should be able to find it in either a hobby or hardware store.

I wrote it for you, April, and also for me and everyone else who loves books but just has too many! The credit for the idea goes to my colleague, author C.M. Mayo. I get a lot of info from her great Madame Mayo Blog, madammayo.blogspot.com.
