Oh Comics are great .They help your child in increasing their reading habit at the same time improving their vocabulary .They mark the beginning of the child's learning and reading.
You are absolutely right. I believed reading comics as a kid helped me become the reader I am today. I am actually in the process of creating a reading program built around comics. It's a long way away, but it could be very good.
