Hi Guys!! Long time no write!! I have missed you all.

I do have a question and maybe a bit of a concern. I still have my two Bettas. Alphie, who is at least 2 years old has stopped making his Bubble Nest. I assume it is because he is getting close to the end of his life.

However, Zeta (the one who always seems to get fin rot) is doing well. Eating good, flaring at me and everything. The other day, he had a Bubble nest so big I have never seen anything like it in my life. It was at least an inch out of the water and covered a good part of the little tank. Anyway, yesterday, I woke up and looked at him and it was gone. I mean...gone. This morning, still nothing. Is this normal? He is still acting okay, but usually the nest stays until I clean the tank and he starts over. What would cause it to vanish?

Wow, I don't know, unless he popped it himself. Also any water movement will mess it up. Any chance of a minor earthquake?

I hope Alphie stays healthy for a long time, and Zeta as well.

nests have to be tended, otherwise they start coming apart. maybe he needs a girl to flare at. I wouldn't worry. Good to have you back.

Thanks!! His bed is still gone. There was no movement, that i can think of and he is in a place that my cats can't even get to him, so I think he should be fine. I will let you know. It was just odd to see such a huge nest and then the next day it was gone.

I tried taking a picture of both of them to send to you all, but they came out really fuzzy. If only I had a digital camera......
