I recently reviewed The 1% Solution. It was quite better than I expected. The book is about "doing better" and has practical tips on improving any area of your life.

One of my favorite "lessons" is one I *know* but keep forgetting--action creates motivation just as much as motivation creates action.

You can read my review here:
The 1% Solution

What do you think about constantly making small improvements that lead you to your goals? Will 1% really help?

Hi Deb!

I firmly believe in "tiny" steps towards any goal is what gets you there.

Thanks so much for this book review! I work with clients who often feel, like most of us, that life can get so overwhelming. When setting a goal, looking at it from this perspective of 1% makes it much easier to take that one small step at a time. Great book recommendation!

Deb, I totally dig this!

The idea of doing a bit instead of EVERYthing makes it sound doable.

That's how I have to approach my diet LOL!!!

LOL, Deanna - that is the way I do my "walking"...

It is so AWESOME that this way of thinking works in so many areas of our life.

Congrats on your diet smile I no longer call mine "diet" as that word seems to set off all the "bells & whistles" of what JUNK food I have to have. Now I call it a "way of life" and it is working. No more feeling deprived and having those junk food urges - I eat what I want and go by how my size 10 fits. Hey at age 52, I am TIRED from all those diets that NEVER worked permanently.
